Anti-Bullying

What is bullying?

We follow the Second Step definition of bullying, which is mean or hurtful behavior that is repeated, intentional, and has an imbalance of power.

How do we prevent bullying here at Titan Hill?

All staff are trained in how to handle bullying through our Second Step Program. It is recognized by all that the student(s) safety is top priority.

When a student reports bullying, staff will:
  1. Affirm the students feelings and ensure the student feels heard
  2. Ask more questions
  3. Create a safe environment
  4. Develop a plan of action (discuss with student(s) what will happen next). After developing a plan of action, the staff member will report to the principal who will do an investigation.
